New Year, Even Better Productivity!

Happy New Year!

Everyone at 360 Web Designs wishes you a Happy New Year! We hope the year has been going great so far. Let’s go over some quick and easy ways to be more productive and plan better this 2019!

  1. Put Tasks on your Calendar – A calendar is a no-brainer. Using calendars on your computer is even better, and allows you to sync your schedule to other mobile devices. However, I still recommend having a wall calendar where you write in important events and dates. Having a calendar hung up in the office will help with all plans throughout the month. You can easily see an overview of everything that needs to be accomplished. Forcing yourself to physically write down information will also help store it in your memory better than if typed in the computer or phone.
  2. Use a Whiteboard – Businesses use whiteboards for meetings and presentations, so why would you want to use one? It’s great to make to-do lists on the computer, but there is always the possibility of distraction. Have a whiteboard in your home office or even bedroom so you can wake up and see it every day. Write out a daily to-do list every day. Try to put a few more tasks than you think you can accomplish that day, so you can force yourself to be more efficient. It’s okay if you don’t finish them all, but you just might surprise yourself! Have another spot on your whiteboard for weekly goals. It’s also great for brainstorming ideas and projects.
  3. What Resists, Persists – Do the hard tasks first! By evading the issue and doing easier work, you will feel your stress levels rise because you feel the impending doom of the harder project! To help your stress level, just take on the hardest tasks at the beginning of the day when you’re the freshest, and the rest of the day will be a breeze!
  4. Spend An Hour A Day On Each Project – Having more than one project at a time is great for productivity. It also keeps you balanced and able to handle multiple tasks. If you have 3 different projects you are working on, then spend an hour each day with EACH project. Doing so will keep each project fresh in your mind. It will also help keep each project firmly in your mind and getting the gears grinding.
  5. The “Two Minute” Rule – If there is something that can easily be done in just a couple of minutes, then why not do it? Little things like cleaning dishes right after eating will not only increase productivity but also reduce stress levels. Procrastinating will just pile a bunch of dishes in the sink, and then you will really not want to do it!

Here’s to another productive New Year! Hopefully, these tips will give you more ideas on how to be productive, while also reducing stress. Delegating is also great for productivity and lowering stress as well. If you need a website or already have a website that needs maintenance, 360 Web Designs can work with you!
